Tensions in the South China Sea, could escalate into conflict and war if countries start stationing their warships in the area, Malaysia’s Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohamad, has said.

马来西亚总理马哈蒂尔.穆罕默德表示，如果各国开始在南海部署军舰，南海的紧张局势可能升级为冲突和战争。



The US, which says it does not take sides in territorial disputes, has sent military ships and planes near disputed islands, calling them "freedom of navigation" operations to ensure access to key shipping and air routes.

美国表示，在领土争端中不偏袒任何一方。美国在有争议的岛屿附近派遣军舰和飞机，称这些行动是“航行自由”的行动，以确保关键航运和航空路线的畅通。

As a Vietnamese American, I do support MR Trump's trade war with China. China makes a huge strategic mistake by showing a TRUE SELF, real intentions so early, by being aggressive, threatening neighbors, occupy the South China sea to become China lake, wanna dethrone the US globally, being cocky, etc... they forgot that we, the US is still the number 1 and global citizens should be glad because if not, we are all have to change our last names to Chang to be able to breath air! Better stop them now rather than later! and remember not just the US but also the western world would go against China. China can't advance w/o the western world and its allies! cutoff the high tech transferring and limit its market , China will succumb and fail! corner China and yes it will survive but it can't advance much!

作为一名越南裔美国人，我真的支持特朗普与中国的贸易战。中国犯了一个巨大的战略错误，这么早就表现出了真实的自我，真正的意图，咄咄逼人，威胁邻国，占有南海成为中国的湖泊，想在全球推翻美国，趾高气扬等等……他们忘记了我们美国仍然是世界第一，全球公民应该感到高兴，因为如果不是这样，我们所有人都必须改变姓氏才能够呼吸空气!最好现在就阻止他们，而不是以后!记住，不仅美国，西方世界也会反对中国。中国不能向西方世界及其盟国推进!切断高科技转移，限制其市场，中国将屈服和失败!是的，它会生存下去，但它无法前进太多!

There is only one way to stop the illegal Chinese government's actions and that is to confront them square on. Anything else would be ineffective; apart from being cowardice. If the Chinese are confronted by an equal, or a superior power, then they will just run away, as usual.
