Funny, the Chinese must have been reading the "Art of the Deal." and are using it against Trump. They increase auto tariffs from 15% to 40%, then drop them back to 15% to make it look like Trump got something out of the deal. Likewise they dropped soybeans to zero and raised it back to prior levels. Trump gets to make noise, as the Chinese run the clock.

The previous 3 Presidents made almost no progress reducing China's powerful trade barriers, though all tried, all made threats, all made no progress.
If all Trump settles for is a 15% tariff on cars then he will join in with Clinton, Bush and Obama who all failed miserably on this front.
