A decreasing aging population is terrible for an economy. There are more and older people relying on young people to work. Eventually it also leaves many homes and towns abandoned. Japan is already seeing this. There are many once-thriving beautiful rural villages but now many are being near abandoned.
It also slows the process of technological and scientific advancement.

This is no longer the case nowadays.

You misunderstood my question. The retiring population of most westernized economies rely on younger generations to work in order to contribute money to government funds for social services (one example is in the form of taxes on income gains e.g. FICA taxes in US). The pay-as-you go model for such benefits like social security cannot continue as is if the balance between the retired population and the working population skews too largely towards the former population. There are political consequences with rationing social security for the retirees or extending the retirement age (again) and moral consequences in simply decreasing the amount of care promised to retirees in order to let them die off faster.

Its not just true of a hunting gathering society it is true for all economies. Old retired people rely on young people to work.
In regards to the top 10 economies those with decreasing native population are not doing fine. Japan's economy has barely grown since the 90s and public debt for all of them have skyrocketed in order to pay for government backed retirement plans.
