China accused Indonesia Sunday of firing on its fishermen and injuring one of them in the latest flare-up of tensions between the two nations in the South China Sea.

What is it with China fishing right off the shores and within the exclusive economic zones of many nations? China is stealing the natural resources of every nation in the South China Sea and elsewhere. Why did all those Chinese fishing vessels suddenly try to escape when they saw the Indonesian warship approaching? If those Chinese fishing boats were fishing legally they would not have tried to run away. Twelve Chinese fishing vessels tried to flee. Not just one or two. Greedy China trying to steal all the fish and leave none for anyone else.

The Chinese are headed for war plain and simple. They keep pushing pushing pushing. So it really doesn't matter whether it's with the Indonesians today over illegal fishing or the Philippines tomorrow over building entire islands practically within sight of their coastline (with all the military hardware necessary to show why it's there at all).
I doubt there's a single Chinese person who would argue with the notion that the U.S. claiming ALL OF THE CARIBBEAN would be wrong unfair or greedy and stupid but they think they can claim an equivalent body of water without so much as an oooops.
Like I said ... war. How stupid is that?

Basically the chinese claim all waters north south east and west of china and extend ad infinitum. Therefore they own the entire Pacific Atlantic indian oceans as well as all other bodies of water greater than about 10 cubic meters including many swimming pools. lakes rivers and aquariums.

Its about time these Asean countries fight back. China thinks they own the whole South China Sea even though it doesn't border their country. Each day I hear they get closer and closer to these countries' economic zone and try to fish in their water. While having their navy guarding and protecting them in case they are chased outside these areas. What else are these countries supposed to do let China invade their backyard and let them rip off their natural resources? China plain and simple is a thieving and arrogant SOB and I'm glad Indonesia is fighting back. US should pull their economic investments and give it to the other Asean countries who are not threatening the peace in Asia. Then let's see how their economy can support their military.

what Indonesian navy did is just and right. time to show china that no country will just sit down and watch them thieves take over their territories. If china can aggressively defend the territories " they believe they own" why can't other countries on their own legal EEZ's?
