NEW YORK — President Trump appeared at his Manhattan skyscraper to deliver a statement on infrastructure on Tuesday and ended up in a heated debate with reporters over the protests and violence that took place in Charlottesville, Va., last weekend.

Charlottesville’s bloody weekend began Friday evening when a group of people protesting the Lee statue’s removal held a torchlit march at the University of Virginia. The group, which included prominent white supremacists and neo-Nazis, was marching as a prelude to a planned rally on Saturday.

I am not a Trump supporter at all. Taking these statues down is not the answer. They are part of history. We look at these statues and they bring different messages to us. The message depends on the person. I look at these statues as mini outside museum pieces. Trump is right when he says George Washington was a slave owner. He said much of the crowd was regular people not white supremacists, who were there to protest the taking down of the statue because it the statue had some significance to them and their town. And they had a permit to protest. He said the other side, the left side, many were peaceful but there were some with protective gear and bats and weapons that were attacking the protestors. He said the whole event was a terrible event and he definitely condemns nazi and white supremacy. Do not take it out of context you evil media!!!
