How did you work out the visa situation with your employer? In order to get a type Z work visa a bachelor's degree is required

----> Good evening, Dan. There are some ways to get type Z work visa without having BA degree if the school really likes you - they just use someone else's degree and for sure it is not legal and happens not often from my experience. Most of the time, teachers ( me included ) work on other types of visas. Even though it is not that safe, it gives you more freedom if you'd like to change your job, because with type Z visas - if you want to leave the place - you can't stay in China anymore ( I believe you get a permission to stay and work only in the exact place ) So, yeah, that's why I prefer to stay in small cities - they tend to be more safe and less checked, you know, as if you are the only foreigner in town, people are really amazed and happy to see you, talk and take photos e.t.c. Hi, I would like to speak to an agency that could help me get out there, preferably Shenzhen. I don't have a degree. I am British. Most agencies require submission of a degree certificate that gets checked by the embassy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What are your thoughts on getting a fake diploma? My husband and I would like to move our family out there and teach English, but we're afraid of getting caught with a fake degree or getting caught working without a degree at all. Also, we are both African American and I know they make differences between white and black people. Where do you work?

----> actually it is easier to come and teach here without any degree, than to get a fake degree ( legit one ), as they are very expensive, Up to 10k$ for a legit degree from US and still you have to know the person, as they can take your money and disappear, right? About racism here, true, it does exist, but demand on teachers is still pretty high, so you shouldn't have problems finding a job. I work in Foshan, about 30km out of the city, really quiet area and I love it most. Peaceful, not too many people, I don't really like big cities. Hope it helps, cheers!

----> There are multiple agents that help you find a job, you don't do anything pretty much, but the salary would be lower, because they simply take money from your monthly salary. It is pretty nasty, up to 500-1000$, agents earn well here :D And the only barrier is Chinese language, if you spoke it, you could easily go to any school and get a great deal ( most often )

----> Nickolas Heart most of the full time jobs in China pay for your apartment. You can easily negotiate it with them, as about I'd say 80% of job offers will include apartment. The things is then you have to check if you like it. Because if you don't, you can discuss getting housing allowance and asking them to help you rent an apartment you like. Let me know if you have other questions
