First, it doesn’t make sense to compare a superpower with a third world country. China should be compared with other superpowers such as the USA, Russia, UK, Germany, Japan etc.

首先，将一个超级大国与第三世界国家进行比较是没有意义的。中国应该与美国、俄罗斯、英国、德国、日本等其他超级大国进行比较。

Secondly, the answer to this question is subjective, better in terms of what? Economy, environmental issues, crime rates, tourism, women, culture, education, infrastructure, human rights or standard of living?

第二，这个问题的答案是主观的，在什么方面更好?经济、环境问题、犯罪率、旅游、妇女、文化、教育、基础设施、人权或生活标准?

There are Zimbabwean women who were “recruited” by human traffickers for “hotel jobs” in Kuwait. Upon arrival, they were sold into slavery, working 20 hours a day for big households with no pay and only 4 hours of sleep, the unfortunate ones were surviving on scrap food left by the families. This incident made news on radio, with most of these women asking the government to return them to Zimbabwe.

在科威特，有一些津巴布韦妇女被人贩子“招募”为“酒店工作人员”。一到那，他们就被卖为奴隶，每天工作20个小时，没有报酬，只有4个小时的睡眠，不幸的是，她们靠那些家庭留下的废食维持生存。这一事件上了电台新闻，其中大多数妇女要求政府将她们遣返回津巴布韦。

I am sure these women had this mentality that Zimbabwe is the worst country and that Kuwait is a better country. The moment you go around trashing your country, foreigners will treat you like shit because that’s “how you are treated anyway”. Sometimes, I believe that people bring xenophobia upon themselves due to self-hate. You hate your country so much, causing other people to hate you as well. When you have hate, you attract hate.

我敢肯定，这些妇女有这样的心态:津巴布韦是最糟糕的国家，科威特是一个更好的国家。当你在贬低你的国家的时候，外国人会把你当成狗屎，因为那是“你本该如此对待”。有时，我相信人们会因为自己的仇恨而把仇外心理带到了自己身上。你非常讨厌你的国家，也会让别人也讨厌你。当你有了憎恨，你就会招来憎恨。

I’m not sure how to qualify worse… but I’ll attempt to answer this question.

Zimbabwe is a country of tremendous wealth, and has resources to population that would leave most in envy. Unfortunately they have been subject to a form of slavery by the West. At the end of colonization Western countries supported a dictator that they extended extremely large loans to, that the current population is being held accountable for.

China is not so rich, but has the manpower to demand respect. This means they have grown as a country independent of Western influence to a large extent. They are free, and have the ability to own all that is on their soil.

So I guess the question boils down to what is worse, being enslaved by Europe and North America, or being free. I am biased in my opinion that freedom ranks high in my list of things one needs to be well off. So I would say China is better and Zimbabwe is worse.

It is of interesting note that you picked these two countries because China has decided to extend its freedom to Africa. African countries has the option to pick China or the West as a trading partner. If Zimbabwe picks China as a trading partner and refuses to settle outstanding debt, they will suddenly become free and there is a large chance that they will be better off than China (due to their wealth).

Zimbabwe has freedom and democracy, rule of law.

津巴布韦拥有自由和民主，法治。

China is a dictatorship, has none of that.

In Zimbabwe everyone is a zillionaire, while in China there are still 45 million people living in poverty.

Worse?? On what basis? I think both are respectable, chinese have passed life of freedom more than the people of Zimbabwe, thats the reason of chinese development, china has benefit of her population as compared to Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe has been under the influence of West directly and indirectly all the time, they have not been free to decide their interest, they have lack of democracy as compared to China thats the reason of their undevelopment

But in future in future Zimbabwe can grow if they make better their internal political set up and remain free out of western influence because Zimbabwe enjoys a best geographical location.

For those people who are fighting for or care about democracy,freedom speech,labor rights,fairness and justice, China might be one of the worst country in the world.

对于那些为民主、言论自由、劳动权利、公平正义而战的人们，中国可能是世界上最糟糕的国家之一。

But if you don’t give a shit about things listed(just like my countrymen under this question), and you have a lot of money don’t know how to spend it,or you wanna make quick money such as in financial terms,China is no doubt the best country in the world.

但是，如果完全不在乎清单上列的(就像回答个问题的我的同胞一样)，你有很多钱不知道怎么花，或者你想要赚个快钱，比如在金融方面，中国无疑是世界上最好的国家。

I know few about Zimbabwe, maybe Zimbabwe was worse in both situations than China a few weeks ago, but now, not any more, at least in the first situation.

Of course China is worse.

当然是中国更糟。

China has no electricity. China has no fridges. China has no computers. China has no internet.

中国没电。中国没冰箱。中国没电脑。中国没互联网。

Best thing is never go to China.;-)

最好的事情是永远不要去中国.;-)
