China is on the rise while the U.S. is in decline for the following reasons:
1. Asian intellect vs that of the non-White, non-Asian immigrants to the U.S.
2. American individualism vs Asian importance of the many or the group, community etc.
3. Civilizations and empires rise and fall, the U.S.'s time is passing and China's time is coming.
4. Most importantly, it doesn't matter that Asians have superior intellect even to that of Whites, it doesn't matter that there are more Chinese than Americans, nor that Americans push their children in sports and not academics.

I visited China as early as 1972. I've seen China in rough time. Did China make mistakes ? Of course. But her advance in past 40 years is proof of good effort and change in right direction. China's rise provides good economy to other countries as well. Please study China's culture and history for better understanding. China Threat is just propaganda to promote arm sales and military. Facts (1) China built Great Wall, not big guns (2) Chinese invented fire-cracker for celebration, not gun powder for killing (3) Confucianism and peaceful doctrines (4) Google ( Zheng He + China ancient navy). Once the Chinese, Japanese etc. get higher wages and start living the good life they will be just like the Americans.

I wouldn't say China has "benign" world views. It just doesn't care about international affairs coz they're too busy with problems from within.I know these also happen in other countries duh, it's just much worse in China. And their economic growth has decelerated to 7% from 11% pa because they're running out of cheap labour. Afterwards the production will move to Vietnam, Bangladesh etc. The more China keeps procrastinating on democratization, the more they'll lag behind western civilization in innovation and cultural influences. We honestly don't care if you have a greater GDP than the US by 2030 and we have our own problems to solve。
