Based on tangible GDP, China ahead 30% compared to USA. USA GDP, include all the non productive activities like accounting, legal fee, consultant fee, rental. Second the number is being make up by overpriced services and good, like medical fee of US is more than 300% higher than China but the result is similar, like life expectancy is 78 vs 77 years old.

The Chinese are leading by looting our patents and dumping their currencies. We have lost more than 600 billions dollars in last decades to the Chinese for their illegal patent policies. China will never the most powerful  global leaders in the planet. They don't invent any thing, and known for cheap labors (the Chinese men work like  machine while women work like men), stealing patents and currency manipulation.

it is such a stupid  topic, China does not want to lead the world. If you know about Chinese culture, leading the world is not what they want to achieve. They just try to improve ordinary people's living standard and there is still a lot to catch up.

Why is China so obsessed with trying to surpass the US and using government propaganda to try to influence people? And who are these propagandists and why were they invited to WEF? Protectionist? What is the meaning? Example a country cannot compete in solar panel market, than simply use anti dumping law to impose heavy levy and tax for imported solar panels from other countries. Which country protectionist?

The talk is so boring, I am a Chinese myself, I can't stand these 2 Chinese scholars, although their English is good. So many interesting talk/discussion/conversation in China for Chinese, why the shows for the world/non-Chinese are so boring?

Highly simplified resumé of this discussion. China offers a different type of leadership, but at the core of it, it's China-centric. The OBOR initiativ China can't pay for themselves, so they are asking for the rest of the world to pitch in on the bill. Did other find this somewhat orchestrated? Also when it came to questions, non of the questions were answered. Still a very interesting talk, where are lot of directions for China future development plans could be derived.
