This kind of thing blew my mind in China. They absolutely don’t care about that Asian caricature it’s on noodles oil menus and chips apparently.

The Chinese don’t share the same context with these caricatures as it was historically used in the US. There’s a picture taken several years ago in China of my Chinese mother making “slanty eyes” of my white husband’s eyes as he wears a rice hat. Mom and the kiosk guy selling the hat thought it was hilarious. But in the US the “slanty eyed” look was often used in a derisive fashion (as recently as my childhood in the 80s) to make fun of East Asians. Different context different meaning. I still have that picture but to this day none of the people we showed it to in the US find it funny like we did. It’s probably good that we never frxd it....

中国人与这卡通人物的文化背景完全不同，以前是美国在使用这个卡通形象。几年前在中国有一张照片是我的中国母亲对戴着斗笠的白人丈夫做出“斜眼”的动作。母亲和在凉亭那儿卖这种帽子（斗笠）的人都觉得（戴着斗笠的白人丈夫）的那个样子很是搞笑。但是在美国这种“斜眼看人”的形象经常被用来嘲笑东亚人（在80年代我们是小孩子的时候）。不同的文化背景，同一个事物就有不同的意义。我现在还有那张照片，但是现在你把它给美国人看，没人会像我们一样觉得好笑。还好我们没有把这照片裱起来...

No sunscreen weather report shows rain happening later on in China. It was the perfect hat.
I actually wear it a lot during Summer time because if you research SPF you'll learn that ten minutes of exposure does skin damage. Vampires don't get skin cancer. I'm not going to wear a wonkass American style cowboy hat in China so a straw conical hat actually makes more sense as the lesser of two evils. I'm loath to apply sun lotion so I cover up instead.

I was not wearing an anime shirt. It's a standard long sleeve black button shirt (I bought that shirt in America because I wanted a few office-formal shirts). For some reason a lot of animes have kids wearing similar shirts... but there's nothing anime about a long sleeve black buttoned shirt. I can see how it could be construed as unintentional cosplay.
Several Chinese people told me that they liked the hat. The girls I went with told me that people were smiling at me constantly.

我没穿动漫衬衫。我穿的是件标准的长袖纽扣黑色衬衫（我在美国买的这件衬衫，因为我想要几件正式的衬衫）。出于某种原因，很多动漫人物会让孩子们（跟风）穿类似的衬衫……但是，一件长袖纽扣黑色衬衫可不带什么动漫元素啊。我明白自己为什么会被人认为是在角色扮演。好几个中国人告诉我他们喜欢我的帽子。跟我一起去的女孩告诉我，（经过的）人们不断对我微笑。

When I first bought the hat at the Great Wall I asked myself if I'd ever wear it anywhere else because isn't it silly? Isn't is cultural appropriation? Then Summer came and I wore it when exercizing the dog in the sun. People kept telling me they like the hat. I'm not going to disagree with them. However I'm sure I look like the asshole of the year to other foreigners who haven't walked a mile in my conical hat. I also look like I'm fresh off the boat.
Try on a conical hat some time and check the reactions. It might give you a shit eating grin.

在长城买这顶帽子的时候我问我自己，这顶帽子戴着挺傻的，我会戴着到处走吗？这是不是文化挪用啊？然后夏天到了，我会带着这顶斗笠在太阳底下遛狗。大家都说喜欢我的帽子。我也觉得好看。我知道对那些没戴过斗笠的外国人来说我看起来像是年度最佳蠢货。我看起来也很像刚从（渔）船上下来似的。有机会可以试试这种斗笠，看看别人（对你）的反应。也许会让你开怀大笑。

Exactly they never went through slavery and civil rights period so many of the imagery you see in the west don't carry the same connotation. This is why things like Darlie toothpaste and that detergent commercial exist.

It doesnt look like the typical racist caricature. If he was wearing a Vietcong hat and was saying "me rearry rike you rong time" then sure.
The cartoon seems innocent to me.

Chinese most often support English Premier League teams either that or La Liga so only logical they support the country where they can see some of their favourite players competing in the major international tournament. AFAIK they of course give their support to China where China plays but they also support other countries too depending on their normal club affiliations.

中国球迷比较支持英超或者西甲，所以从逻辑上来说在国际主要赛事上他们会支持他们喜爱的球员所在的球队这是说得通的。据我所知，他们当然是支持中国队，但根据球队俱乐部的关系他们也会支持其他国家。

Picking up on your "Swiss guy" comment you are probably mistaking the flag as a Swiss flag which is a small white cross on a red background 🇨🇭
The flag here is a large red cross on a white background the England flag. You will be more used to seeing the unx Flag which combines the red cross of the English flag and the diagonal red cross / white background of the Northern Irish flag with the Scottish diagonal white cross on a blue background. 🇬🇧

Don't worry seems most people have misunderstood it!
The photo is of two tubes of Chinese Pringles which have a special promotional packaging ready for the FIFA World Cup. The design includes the England flag and a snack bucket with the England "three lions" logo.

There is nothing inherently offensive about the design / photo.
The post was supposed to be a parody of the recent furore on Twitter in which an ABC guy took offence at a non Chinese girl wearing a qipao tweeting "my culture is not your prom dress". There is also nothing inherently offensive about wearing clothes that originated in a different culture.

这个设计/图片没有冒犯到人的地方。这贴应该只是为了仿冒最近推特上很火的话题，一个美国华侨觉得一个外国女高中生穿旗袍的行为冒犯到了他们的文化，发推说“我的文化不是你的舞会礼服”。穿着源自不同文化的衣服本身也没有什么冒犯之处。

Um...okay I honestly have no idea what that picture on the cans is even supposed to mean. Does it mean that China really supports the UK or something? I don't know.
But either way that's an American company. Granted it's run by Chinese in China but at some point there must be contact between it and the parent.
