Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing, who played Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past, still hasn’t been seen publicly in three months, but there’s new insight into her disappearance from the public eye.

在《X战警：逆转未来》扮演Blink的中国超级明星范冰冰，三个月后仍没有公开露面，但是从她在公众视线中的消失能发现新见解。



Fan also broke her silence via the social media site Weibo, on which she has more than 60 million followers. In her first post since June 2, she wrote that she “completely accepts” the decision.

“As a public figure, I should have abided by laws and regulations,” she wrote, “and been a role model in the industry and society.”

Reps for Fan Bingbing have not yet responded to Yahoo Entertainment’s request for comment.

Fan's troubles began in May soon after she appeared on the red carpet at Cannes film festival when a former presenter for state-run China Central Television (CCTV) posted a purported movie shoot contract.
The documents suggested Fan was officially paid 10 million yuan ($1.45 million) for a project while unofficially receiving an additional 50 million yuan - all for four days of work.
So-called 'yin and yang' dual contract arrangements - with one contract for income declared to tax authorities while the other is kept secret - are reported to be used in China to evade taxes.

Wow. Well rehearsed and recited, Ms. Bingbing. Chinese government's intimidation tactics at work again. I hope she and her family are ok. Glad we're not doing business with China's insane government at the moment. She was good in x-men, and there's a shortage of GOOD asian actors here in the U.S. As long as she's willing to pay her taxes, I'm sure she'd be granted citizenship here. Taxes will certainly be lower here than in China and of course no "maximum salary", so there won't be nearly as much motivation to use tactics like "yin-yang". Besides, rich people also have plenty of loopholes here to knock the percentage down even more, and any way out of paying taxes in the U.S. is considered "smart". Just ask the POTUS ;-)

Still not sure what the allure is to this actress. Her acting skills are a hair above a local TV commercial.I'm sure the Chinese government has several people keeping an eye on Fan Bingbing - night and day - because she is likely to flee the country and ask for asylum in the United States or some other Western country, if she has the opportunity. To save $130 million, she would be happy to acquire the citizenship of the U.S., Switzerland, or that of a host of other countries!
