Do people of Nanjing still hate the Japanese for the Nanjing massacre today (2014)?

I was born and grown up in Nanjing, and i lived there for 18 years. So basically i am a Nanjingese. My great grandma was the survivor from Nanjing massacre. She was hidden in the hill of countryside and avoided this tragedy. Therefore, I would think I am able to talk about the influence of Nanjing massacre on us.

Civil defense siren. Every year in Dec 13th, the civil defense siren goes off for about 10 minutes in total between 10:00-10:33. Many people stop and take a moment of silence. I haven't heard of this in 3 years because I am going to a university outside this city. I miss this sound just as a part of memory of my hometown.

Back to the topic, the most of us DO NOT hate Japanese people and their culture. We are deeply sad about what was happened and we would remember it in our blood.

No.
For some reasons, the Japanese average people tend to have this misconception of “if I walk on the street of Nanjing and I revealed I'm Japanese, Nanjing people will give me trouble”.
That's not true.

I went to Nanjing and it was really good. The people are really friendly. Changsha and Guangdong isn’t that friendly compared to Nanjing.
