Meso Anto, well the Chinese do have Military bases in Djibouti and could possibly militarise Gwadar Port in Pakistan and that Port in Sri Lanka. However, China's shipping routes are still vulnerable due to India's strategic position and formidable navy. This would impact the Chinese economy on a large scale, which is why land routes (one belt one road) are a key focus for the Chinese. India is also investing in Port construction in Iran to counter Gwadar and has a naval base at Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Both countries are trying to counter each other.
