The CEO of Top Rank and Chinese icon Zou Shiming's promoter predicted a sparse Chinese fan turnout Saturday night at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.And for the first time in Zou's professional career the stands he fought in front of weren't filled to the brim with new yet energetic Chinese boxing fans.

Whoever wrote this article has little understanding if any at all of Chinese culture in America. Chinese are here even if second or third generation to do work hard educate their kids do well and take care of family. Spending money on something as frivolous in their view as a boxing match is sheer stupidity. It might help if the guy were not a homely ugly and dopey looking bloke who has no education. American Chinese are very American. Look at their cars apparel and homes but when it comes to the values of frugality they are very Chinese.

Because Zou is more hype than an actual boxer. He didn't deserve his 2012 Boxing Gold Medal. Paddy Barnes the Irish boxer he fought in his semi-final bout out boxed him and was cheated out a well deserved final bout. In the final bout Zou had the tar beat out of him by the Thai boxer yet the bribed judges gave the bout to Zou. When Zou fought the Thai boxer as a professional in Macau the Thai boxer beat him to a pulp he beat him so badly even the biased judges could not deny it.

Zou is a typical Chinese propaganda tool. He didnt win the olympic gold---judges were bribed. He also lost to the thai fighter who later gave Zou the 1 loss on his record by beating the living #$%$ out out of him.
