It's fine to feel proud of Chinese heritage but I always tell myself these are the works of our ancient ancestors. Not mine or ours to boast. If we want to be proud of our own community or country it depends on what we do now.

The Chinese are clearly selfless humanitarians. Their empires have been based on generosity and charity, rather than force, slavery, and mass murder. Nothing like theft, rape and pillaging.

Many of those porcelain were bought and handed down as heirlooms. They are not war booty.

那些瓷器很多都是别人卖给英国人，然后被英国人一代代传下去的。它们不是抢来的战利品。

So only the British stole but not the Dutch or Portuguese? Who were those merchants in Guangzhou? Why don't they just get out of their posts and murder and pillage to get the porcelain the market at home demands?

所以只有英国人是用偷的，荷兰人和葡萄牙人就没偷了吗？英国在广州的那些瓷器商人又算什么？为什么他们不放下生意，直接通过谋杀掠夺抢走瓷器，来满足本国市场需求呢？
