Mihir Lodhavia3
India reached Mars' orbit, while herneighbour is still trying to reach Kashmir.

Andrew Manook4
What people don't understand is that ISROis not in a competition with others, its main objective was the development ofIndia and thus shouldn't be compared with others, it wouldn't make sense to.

In order to reach highest level and quality. You need competition . Those rich countries are competitive and that's whythey live a high standard and quality life.

@jonathan kayinaSometimes, you need to focus most on yourself and compete with your past andpresent self rather than with others

Not 35%, actually Asians makeup only 2%from nasa website

Sunil Ipe3
Not really but indians are 10% in all bigcorporates and nearly 20% in Microsoft

Another shinning example of Indianboasting!

Those who say that there are 2% Asians areabsolutely wrong. NASA though rarely provides ethnic contributions. But theresheer number of Indians is actually very large. Though they are not Indiancitizen anymore. Because they gave up the citizenship. So he should've saidlike 35% of Indian Origin(+Indian descent). The Indian diaspora is so high. Butunfortunately those who were once Indians don't think they are anymore. Theyconsider themselves more American. So the sentence he quoted is actually not astatement. Because it's truth value is vague. Read maths(logical reasoning) ifyou don't know difference between sentence and statement.

Just imagine what ISRO could do with theNASA'S budget.

Abhishek Tyagi3
India's Mangalyaan project costed less thanthe total budget of movie "gravity"

Abhishek Tyagi well said

so now people know that india has the mostinternet potential, so they are posting clickbaits for indians

Facts are facts and one of them is that theIndian mars mission is the cheapest and most successful of its kind .

India
was first country to reach mars on 1st attempt

India
was only second country after China to develop rockets few hundred years ago.
And first to use in war. These Indian and Chinese old rockets were reverse
engineered by Europeans to make their own versions of it and go somewhere from
there. But around 1990s these same countries refuse to sell India engine to
power their rockets. But finally Russians came to rescue and helped with the
supply of engine and Indian scientists were able to make their own.

Well,
I work in the manufacturing and education fields, so I love to hear about
advances such as this. It's sad when there are setbacks, but the successes are
triumphant! The specific news media that I read/listen mentions large news for
India, Asia, etc...but that type of news is "boring" so they instead
talk about the latest celebrity nonsense instead

Of
course. But they'll make 2-3 hours of documentaries on poverty situation within
India.. Yeah of course, poverty exists, income gap is widening, but they
forget, a country which used to make up approximately 25% of the global GDP in
1800s, was left to only 1% of the global GDP after 1947. I feel sad, how
western media is responsible for demoralizing many of us into believing we are
literally filth when we definitely aren't, and they're on the god tier.

ISRO
didn't actually. It was still NASA because the sensors of Chandrayan-1 was from
USA. It's called M3 scanner and Mini-SAR. ISRO couldn't had done it without
American aid.

Nitish Kumar Sharma4 ()
That's
not true. NASA published before ISRO but it was actually MIP(Moon Impact probe)
that discovered lunar water. Both were on Chandrayaan-1. ISRO's MIP had already
discovered water but the paper was sent to NASA for confirmation. On Sep 24
NASA published their papers. On Sep 25, 2009 ISRO announced that they had
discovered water on moon. Recent announcements were in continuation to previous
NASA announcements. Agencies acknowledged that MIP discovered water before M3
but NASA published their papers a day before. Info is public on Wikipedia too.
