President Obama took to Facebook Thursday afternoon to condemn the fatal police shootings of two African-American men in Louisiana and Minnesota this week.

On Tuesday morning, 37-year-old Alton Sterling was shot and killed during an altercation with cops outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, La. The next day, a traffic stop resulted in the fatal shooting of Philando Castile by a police officer in suburban Falcon Heights, Minn.

Graphic cellphone video footage of both incidents quickly spread across social media, sparking outrage and protests in both states.

“All Americans should be deeply troubled by the fatal shootings,” Obama said on Facebook. While the president said he is “encouraged that the U.S. Department of Justice has opened a civil rights investigation in Baton Rouge,” he also noted that “regardless of the outcome of such investigations, what’s clear is that these fatal shootings are not isolated incidents.”

Obama also addressed the pro-law-enforcement backlash in response to protests against police brutality. In May, Louisiana passed a “Blue Lives Matter” law, the first in the nation to cover police officers as a protected class under hate-crime law.

In the meantime, the president urged Americans to resist falling “into a predictable pattern of division and political posturing,” and instead try to “come together as a nation, and keep faith with one another, in order to ensure a future where all of our children know that their lives matter.”

Obama is paying a lip-service to those who like being perpetual victims and always blame others for evils that befall them, so they don't have to change. Fact is that when over 90% of blacks murder each other like animals in the streets both the POTUS and BLM are silent. It's also a fact that blacks are many times more likely to attack whites than vice-versa and also many times more likely to commit crimes. It's also a fact that for the most part, police killings of blacks are a result of blacks fighting officers, punching them or even attempting to reach for guns and could be avoided by simply complying with orders.

Obviously citizens (black, white, brown, etc ) should not be shot by police if they are not posing a legitimate threat but how is the President releasing a statement on these situations without taking any time to find out what all the details are leading up to the shots being fired. Just like he did with Mike Brown talking out of his #$%$ without knowing what really happened. Mike Brown tried to attack the police officer and grab his gun ! Then charged the cop but Black lives Matter still uses the slogan 'Hands Up Don't Shoot !' Which was proven to be a lie ! And where is Obama when Chicago has more than 60 shootings in one weekend ? he doesn't make a peep and that's his hometown ! He has done nothing but stoke the racial fire in this country, as the first black President he's done nothing to curb violence in inner city black neighborhoods. But he sure jumps on every cop related YouTube video before the facts even come out. Oh and he didn't say #$%$ when two black cops shot and killed an unarmed white citizen last year - Hypocrite

Do you people realize that over the last 24 years Clinton, GWB and Obama have been appointing the judges and prosecutors. And we wonder why the justice system is screwed up and the big criminals walk freely in society. And look who Clinton pardoned while in office. Many were his cronies and others like gave him big campaign contributions. And how many dissenters have been hounded by the IRS or investigated, especially under Clinton and it was Hillary that was behind it. Pretty much most of the women who accused Clinton of sexual abuse were hounded by the IRS. People better get a grip on themselves and stop sticking their heads in the sand. The situation has gotten completely out of control.
