SHANGHAI (Reuters) - China has completedproduction of the world's largest amphibious aircraft after seven years ofwork, which it plans to use to perform marine rescue missions and fight forestfires, the Xinhua news agency reported.

上海（路透社）——在经过7年的努力之后，中国建成世界上最大的两栖飞机，将用来进行海洋搜救和抵抗森林大火，新华社报道。

The AG600, which is about the size of aBoeing 737 and was developed by state aircraft maker Aviation IndustryCorporation of China (AVIC), rolled off a production line in the southern cityof Zhuhai on Saturday, Xinhua said quoting the firm.

这种AG600大小相当于波音737，由中国航空工业集团研发，周六在珠海市的工厂下线，新华社援引该公司的消息称。

AVIC deputy general manager, Geng Rugang, saidthe plane was "the latest breakthrough in China's aviation industry."A plan for the development and production of the AG600 received governmentapproval in 2009.

该公司副总经理称该飞机是中国航空工业的最新创举，该飞机的研发生产计划在2009年获得政府批准。

The aircraft has a maximum flight range of4,500 km and can collect 12 tonnes of water in 20 seconds. It has a maximumtake-off weight of 53.5 tonnes, Xinhua said.

该飞机最大航程4500公里，20秒内可以汲取12吨水。最大起飞重量53.5吨，新华社报道。

Just saw the video of this aircraft. It isvery similar to the firefighting planes that pick up water from lake or sea. Ithas the size of a jumbo jet with four big props that provide over 50 tons takeoff weights. It is big, but not to the point to drop any one's jaw.

刚看了这架飞机的视频，和一般的从海里或者湖里汲取水源的消防飞机没有区别。和大型喷气式客机一样大，有四个螺旋桨，50多吨的起飞重量。是很大，但还没有到让人感到吃惊的程度。
