Xiaomihas a new concept phone -- but it's not actually a concept, because it's real.And it's crazy.

小米有了一款新的概念手机——但它事实上并不是概念机，因为它真的存在。而且它很惊人。

Designedby French designer Philippe Starck and announced at Xiaomi's Beijing eventtoday, the 6.4-inch device features a striking bezel-less display. Where other phones usually keep a top andbottom area available for the front camera and home button, the Mix does awaywith both, leaving only a small space in the bottom right corner for the frontcamera.

这款配备惊艳夺目的无边框6.4寸屏幕的设备是小米在北京发布，由法国设计师菲利普·斯塔克设计的。当其他手机都在上下保留一块区域以便放置前置摄像头和home键时，Mix却将它们的空间都去掉，只在右下角留一点点空间放置前置摄像头。

Thephone will be available in China on November 4 and will come in two models.One, housing 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, will retail for 3499 yuan($510, AU$680, ￡420) while a premium model with18k gold embossing and 256GB onboard storage will cost 3,999 yuan ($590,AU$770, ￡480).

这款手机将会于11月4日在中国发售，并将配备两种规格。4GB内存+128GB闪存售价为3499元（约合510美元，680澳元，420英镑），尊享版有6GB内存+256GB闪存+18K镀金装饰，售价为3999元（约合590美元，770澳元，480英镑）。

TheMix is quite the game changer. In order to accommodate the lack of a top andbottom bezel, where the speaker for making calls usually is, Xiaomi is usingpiezoelectric ceramic actuator to deliver voice calls to your ears. It's notthe first phone to operate with a tiny bezel though, with The whole phone isencased in beautifully glossy black ceramic, though this may end up being afingerprint magnet. Located at the back is the 16-megapixel rear camera and afingerprint sensor.

小米Mix无疑是游戏改变者。为了适配缺失的上边框通话时常用的听筒，小米使用了压电陶瓷驱动器来将声音传导到耳中。虽然这并不是第一款使用极细边框的手机。整个手机都包裹在了流光溢彩的黑色陶瓷材质中，虽然这也有可能把它变成指纹收集器。在手机背面放置了一个1600万像素的摄像头和一个指纹识别传感器。与iPhone 7和三星Galaxy S7不同，小米Mix并不支持防水。

Havingplayed with the phone briefly, I'm pretty impressed with the build quality andhow the phone feels in the hand. I'm really not a big fan of phones withscreens bigger than 6 inches, as I think they are too unwieldy to use properly,but the Mix is very close to making me change my mind.

在短暂使用手机之后，我对它的做工和手感印象深刻。我真的不是一个6寸以上大屏手机的爱好者，我觉得它们太笨重不好用，但是小米Mix几乎要改变我的固有观念了。

      But they may eventually launch it in other country such as India.
      Anyway what they showed us today is that they are not merely just a copycat andfollower but also they can innovate.

      They didn't release the mi note in India. Heck, they didn't even release the top model of mi5 in India.

      Not to mention that 250-300$ devices become over 400$ in India and any country not China. So they are not as cheap as you think.

   Lets be honest the minote 2 is just note 7 , and that mi mix is basically a sharp aquos xx withminor improvements

      This is different from the sharp aquos xx. That black bottom on the MIX is still screen.
      So it's aspecial 17:9 screen but only 16:9 is used to display the UI, the other 1:9 isfor software keys! So every surface is either screen or ceramic.

      这和夏普aquos xx并不一样。那个黑底也是屏幕。所以它是17:9屏幕，但只用到了16:9显示UI。（他说的是错的，Mix下边框不是屏幕）

   Mi Mix doesn't have international version that's the issue. They clearly say international versionfor Mi Note 2 but nothing for Mi Mix. 
   Which means you will find it at usualchinese online stores in the future with added premium + import taxes andprobably very few LTE bands.

      FDD LTE Bands 1,2,3,4,5,7,8. That covers T-Mobile USA (B4) and most of Europe, Africa, Asia,the Middle East and of course China. 
      That's international enough for me sinceI'm on T-Mobile USA. 
      Besides they're very likely to release an internationalversion as they did with the latest Redmi Note 3 Pro and the Mi Note 2. Eitherway I'm covered.

      FDD LTE 1、2、3、4、5、7、8.这已经覆盖了美国的T-Mobile以及绝大多数的欧亚非地区。对用了T-Mobile的我来说这已经足够“国际”了。
      此外他们非常乐意发国际版，就像他们之前最新发布的红米Note 3 Pro和小米Note2一样，不管怎么说我可以用。

Wow for innovation, but not so wow for real life usage and design. I mean look atyour wall, do you hang photos without frame? i doubt so, because Bezel does addsome aesthetic to a display. Eliminating it completely is not sexy IMO.

   Not even close. Super bendable screens will be the future not just this tiny curved by the edges. I imagine in 5 years there will be a phone that has one panel curved from frontuntil back with shock proof glass protection.

Looks incredible. Sadly, it probably won't be coming to North America. Even if youimport it, it probably won't be able to pick up LTE bands in America. :-(
