I don't think so.The same proportion of our income lower than the western developed countries.In my impression, English teacher’s pay enough to live a good life in China.

I don't really want to live in China though. I like north America. Places like yunnan and Jiu-Zhai-Gou are awesome places to visit, but I'm too used to my current life style.

Yea, I was "backpacking" around China for two months. Just to clarify, I mean that I was budget traveling and jumping from hostel to hostel - not actually staying in the wilderness. The air quality was good. I was there in October and the colors were amazing. I highly recommend it.
I took a bus from Chengdu, stayed 2 days there and then left. It's really easy to do, but out of the way.

Presently, I know about 300 characters, but I wouldn't say I am anywhere near to saying I "speak" Chinese. When I went there, I didn't speak a word of Chinese and couldn't read any. It was only after returning that I started studying.
How did you do it?
It's really quite easy. I mean getting time off and getting to China isn't easy, but traveling within China can be easy. There's a pretty good backpacker/budget travel circuit. It's not dangerous. The challenging part is the language (I had an Mandarin travel phrasebook app that helped a great deal). The culture shock can be overwhelming as well. I'd recommend going, if you ever have the chance.

目前我大概知道300个字，但我不会到处去说我会“说”中文。当我去那里时，我一句汉语也不会说也什么也看不懂。我回来只后才开始学习。

Sure. I think the most important thing to remember is that the vast majority of people in the world are good. This goes for China. I think crime (muggings, assaults, etc.) is low over there because of this. Factor in that Chinese justice can be pretty harsh and that probably deters a lot of would be criminals.
The backpacker circuit is basically a series of hostels in the cities you'd want to visit if you were going to China. These hostels, which can run as low as $5 a night, cater to the international budget traveler and are often full of Europeans and Israelis. The staff members at these hostels are often young and speak pretty good English. Many also offer additional travel services for a small fee. They can book your train ticket, set up an excursion to the Great Wall, take you on a walking tour and even arrange for you to get a travel permit to Tibet. Of course, you can do all this on your own, but it is so much easier to have someone else sort it out for you - especially when you're paying such a small price for their services.

The air quality is amazing there! There's an airport in a nearby town iirc and you can take a taxi out to the nearby town where there are big name hotels. China's bad rep on air quality is certainly well deserved in the city, but there isn't any pollution up in the mountains. Only things to watch out for are altitude sickness, and if you don't enjoy local chinese food then you're pretty much outta luck save for a chicken joint near the park entrance.

那里的空气质量好得惊人！附近的小镇有一个机场，你可以乘出租车去附近的城镇在那里有大名鼎鼎的酒店。中国城市里的空气质量确实不好，但是山区没有任何污染。唯一需要注意的是高原反应，如果你不喜欢当地的中国菜，那你就很不幸地只能吃公园入口的鸡腿了。

If you ever get a chance to visit this region, I recommend Jiu Zhai Gou for a day or two but then visit one of the small towns nearby where they do horse trek camp outs. One of the best experiences I've ever had traveling. Great people, beautiful scenery, and TONS of pumpkin to eat!

I used to live in Chengdu, so JZG was only about an hour plane ride. Unfortunately, I never made it and totally regret it. I did go to Leshan, E-mei, and Qing Cheng though. Of the three, I would say E-Mei is amazing during summer and winter. It's stunning.
Thanks for sharing the photo though. Really hit the nostalgia/happy button for me.
