I'll give the Chines credit for pushing ahead with this project, but just because they mounted a rail gun on a ship first does not mean they have overcome all the tech problems. It will take years to work it out, and then start producing them. We Americans have the technology to do so as well, we just need to decide what programs we need to fund. Don't think we aren't tinkering with our version. Last I saw, we were playing around with a ship born lazier. I am not worried.

Probably because we take too long to make something, so we provide jobs for decades and cost too much. Compare to p80 designed in 60 days I think. And put into production.
