Shares of Kingworld Medicines Group, a Hong Kong-listed Chinesepharmaceutical company that produces the remedy, soared 25 per cent on Monday(Feb 26) following the report.

According to the Centres for DiseaseControl and Prevention, 97 influenza-related paediatric deaths have beenreported for the 2017-2018 flu season as of Feb 17."I think that (thereport) is a good thing. It will make traditional Chinese products moreacceptable among Western countries," Winnie added. "In fact, we alsosold more of other related traditional Chinese medicine in the past fewdays."

According to the Kingworld MedicinesGroup's official website, Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa is made of "precious Chineseherbs and honey, and has remarkable effects in relieving coughs, eliminatingphlegm and soothing sore throats". However, experts warned that takingherbal supplements can involve health risks, including when they are used withmedicine, consumed in excess or taken instead of prescription medication.

Very effective product! I see no needfor the Caramel Color, though, which we now know is a carcinogen, Sugar-it'salready honey based, and the Natural Flavor, which could be anything, even MSG.I would give it 5 stars if these were removed. I'm pretty sure 400 years agowhen they apparently1st developed this product, it didn't have theseunnecessary ingredients. Really, really works though!

It does depend on what's bothering you but if youhave one of those issues you'll be glad you have some. All 4 of us agree. Agood product to have around the house to try. This 3 pack is perfect so that I can have back upsjust in case I use a lot. This is great for coughs and chest congestion as itworks as a natural demuculent to help break up phlegm and help you cough it upand out. I use this whenever I have a mucous-y cough and it works wonders. Itdoes, however, take several days before it starts really working for coughs andchest congestion. I got someSlippery Elm "lozenges" from the health food store and they tastelike chalk. So in comparison, these are amazing. They are like a boiled candy,hard, and easy to suck on. I will be keeping these next to my bed.
