There are a lot ofplaces in the world with civil rights records that are so much worse thananything one might perceive Israel to have done.
So is Israelboycotted because of the palestinians, or because it's Israel?
It's easy to saythe boycott is motivated by anti semitism, and just as easy to say that's atired card to play.
But fact remainsthat the world just doesn't seem as up in arms that women can't drive in SaudiArabia, or are forced to cover up their bodies. No one is boycotting Chinabecause of the Tibetans, or the total, total suppression of free information onthe internet.
As long as theresuch double standards applied to Israel, Israel has every reason to suspect themotivation is not pro-palestinian, but simply anti-Israel.

The boys inIceland have short memories. A while ago, my good friend was sent to Iceland aspart of a US Air Force mission. He was told that he couldn't stay in thecountry because he was black (ironically, he isn't, he's Puerto Rican).
The US Air Force,to its credit, told the Ice boys that if he went home, they would all go home.It would have meant a loss of money.
They"let" him stay.
