His solution to the refugee crisis is to give the refugees the right to work, access to education, and locations to resettle.
He's missing the point. Our only responsibility as a foreign country is to give refugees a safe place to stay before their home country is safe enough to go back to. It is not our responsibility to give them a new home. They are refugees, not immigrants. Only thing he said that I support is that I agree that we should give more aid to refugee host countries to provide safe and humane refugee camps - its a lot easier and cheaper to pay someone else to take care of this problem then to set up our own camps. And its part of our humanitarian duty.

"what western society represents"? There wont BE a western society if we are trying to accommodate so many people flooding our borders.Western society cant afford to integrate so many people so quickly. These are entire nations of people needing a new home. They could't possibly be "integrated" let alone so quickly.    Perhaps western society needs to quit mucking about and establish control in the regions where theses people came from so that they could actually have someplace safe to go home to, rather than inviting their chaos here.

Here is a much better idea that works a LOT better. Fix their home countries. Send them home with enough aid to rebuild their lives in their home country with training and skills they need to build a prosperous society. You can NEVER take enough refugees in from the developing world to be more than a drop in the bucket of human woe.
