BEIJING (Reuters) - China's Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that no country, organisation, company or individual can carry out oil and gas exploration or exploitation in Chinese waters without permission from Beijing.

路透社北京报道，中国外交部于星期四表示，未经中方许可，没有任何国家、组织、企业或个人可以在中国的海域上开展石油天然气的勘探及开采活动。

Ministry spokesman Lu Kang made the comment at a regular news briefing when asked about recent drilling by Rosneft Vietnam BV, a unit of Russian state oil firm Rosneft, in an area of the South China Sea that is claimed by China.

在一次例行新闻发布会上，外交部发言人陆慷被问及最近俄罗斯国家控股石油企业Rosneft下属公司“俄越石油”的开采活动，他作出了该评论。俄越石油公司在南海进行开采的海域位于中国主张的领土范围以内。

"We urge relevant parties to earnestly respect China's sovereign and jurisdictional rights and not do anything that could impact bilateral relations or this region's peace and stability," Lu said.

China won't do anything, just trying to once again insist it controls the entire South China Sea, right up to the beaches of other countries.
