PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon man is facing charges after authorities say heurinated on passengers on a flight from Anchorage to Portland, Oregon.
KOIN-TV reports 27-year-old Jeff Rubin was arrested early Friday after JetBlueFlight 47 arrived at Portland International Airport.
A police report says passengers and airline employees told officers Rubin hadbeen sleeping for most of the flight. About 30 minutes before landing, he stoodup and began urinating through the crack between the seats in front of him —onto the passengers sitting there.
The report says he lost his balance and fell backward, spraying urine onpassengers, seats and luggage.
Rubin spent about five hours in jail. He faces charges of criminal mischief andoffensive littering.
Rubin did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.

AnAmerican Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing Monday morningafter a passenger lit a match to disguise the scent of flatulence, authoritiessaid.
The Dallas-bound flight was diverted to Nashville after several passengersreported smelling burning sulfur from the matches, said Lynne Lowrance,spokeswoman for the Nashville International Airport Authority. All 99passengers and five crew members were taken off and screened while the planewas searched and luggage was screened.
The FBI questioned a passenger who admitted she struck the matches in anattempt to conceal a "body odor," Lowrance said. She had anunspecified medical condition, authorities said.
"It's humorous in a way, but you feel sorry for the individual, aswell," she said. "It's unusual that someone would go to thosemeasures to cover it up."
The flight took off again, but the woman was not allowed back on the plane. Thewoman, who was not identified, was not charged in the incident.

I'mgoing to guess this guy was ANCIENT. I'm not excusing him in any way (if you'rea danger to the flying public then you're a danger, regardless) but I flyroutes in Asia and there are so many shenanigans by these anciently old peopleon the flights that it's ridiculous. I remember a pair of old women getting outof their seats and making a bee-line for the exit door on a flight as soon asthe rear wheels of the plane had touched down on the runway! They had no ideawhat they were doing and so they shouldn't have been flying (or at least theyshouldn't have been flying unattended.)
