President Barack Obama arrives in Cuba on Sunday afternoon, the first sitting U.S president to visit the island in 88 years. Obama’s whirlwind visit aims to lock in key aspects of his historic overtures to the socialist-run country, deepening U.S.-Cuba economic relations and sending the message that Raúl Castro’s government must embrace democratic reforms.

Another three day outing for the Obama clan on the backs of the tax payers. Michelle never misses a trick to vacation on the tax payer and Obama thinks the people out to give him another million dollars to leave office with because he added it to the budget this last go around. Face it people our so called leaders are just big mouthed thiefs stealing our money every way they can.

Obama has shown qualities of a Socialist and Capitalist. Can't figure it out. This has never happened before. Or maybe this too has been a long time since it has last happened.

Nice picture of Abraham Lincoln. But someone Obama admires??Funny, I am watching a CNN original on Abraham Lincoln. For those who say the Republican's want slavery, just watch this. It was the Democrats that wanted slavery and still is. For those Democrats that say Republicans are for the top 1%, just look what happened in these last 7 years with the wealth distribution favoring the top 1%. Look at Obama's Corporate bailouts, the 1.3 trillion being the largest in history. It's because Establishment has crossed over, their is no real Party anymore. So when you go to the polls this fall, vote Republican to free the slaves. And make sure this Republican is separate from Establishment control. Vote Donald Trump

Nice poster our leftist authoritarian president with a leftist dictator. I'm sure many Cuban political inmates are now being mentally tortured with hopelessness by being shown images on block ward televisions of the leader of the "free world" making nice to their jailers. I can't help but hope for a little shadenfreude by having our old Teleprompt-Bama being accidentally given a glass of water the Cubans have to drink and thus giving him the chance to experience, in a Cuban hospital, the type of socialized medicine he promotes so much for us. Just dreaming.

I think this is wonderful, and what's better I hope they get a chance to catch up on old times with Assata Shakur, formerly JoAnne Chesimard, the cop killer who has a LIFE SENTENCE waiting for her worthless, murdering, black rear end back here in the good ole U.S.A. Yes, I hope they have a nice visit with Assata just after she has finished sharpening her machete collection.

Olivier Knox - you have a severe case of Fecal Cerebrum. Cuba is a "socialist-run country"? This guy is Chief Correspondent for Yahoo (the equivalent of being valedictorian of a kindergarten class), and he does not know the difference between socialism and communism.

Why can't the cops accidentally shoot Obama? Other blacks are fair game it seems.

It is far easier to bring down a country like the United States than it is to bring up a country like Cuba, in the interest of "equality".
To quote George Canning, Obama is "A steady patriot of the world alone, the friend of every country but his own."

1) Since it is axiomatic with The Establishment Press that everything Barack Obama does is historic, isn't it redundant to refer to this event as Obama's "historic Cuba visit"? Or maybe it's extra-historic or super-historic. Whatever.
2) Maybe President Obama is scouting sites in Cuba for his presidential library. Now THAT really would be historic.

3) "Pictures of Chê are everywhere."
I wonder if college kids would be wearing Ché T-shirts if their revolutionary hero were bald with wisps of red hair on the side of his head and if he had a large bulbous nose and two missing front teeth. Whatever.
3a) I also have to wonder if they know (or if they care) that Dr. Ernesto Guevara was the person in charge of executing hundreds of thousands of "counter-revolutionaries" immediately after the success of the Cuban revolution. He was responsible for the deaths of more people, by far, than the infamous Dr. Joseph Mengele, the Ghoul of the German concentration camps. Whatever.

A Cuban woman told Miami immigration attorney Grisel Ybarra that her grandmother and two great aunts came to Florida, got approved for benefits, opened bank accounts and returned to Cuba. Month after month, the woman cashed their government checks about $2,400 each time, sending half to the women in Cuba and keeping the rest.

When a welfare agency questioned the elderly ladies’ whereabouts this summer, the woman turned to Ybarra, a Cuban American. She told Ybarra her grandmother refused to come back, saying: “With the money you sent me, I bought a home and am really happy in Cuba.”
