A video promoting the People's Liberation Army Air Force-informally known as the Chinese Air Force-has surfaced on YouTube. The video attempts to show the PLAAF as a service fully prepared to defend the country's air space, as well as contribute to fights on the ground and at sea, at a moment's notice.

The video starts with children playing in a field of flowers, wearing various national dresses of China's various regions. Suddenly, shattering the peace of this scene, Chinese air force pilots quickly scramble to their planes.

Also included is theJ-10 "Vigorous Dragon"single engine fighter. The Chinese fighters valiantly engage a mysterious enemy fighter force and are victorious.

what fears the US military is not necessarily their high tech, it's the shear numbers that China can produce of these fighter planes, missiles, ships, etc. in conventional warfare (without going nuclear) shear numbers is key.

For all you armchair warriors there is this.
If the US gets into a war with China I see most of you think that the US will easily beat China. There is a thing called logistics. For Iraq it took 6 months to ramp up and logistics was close by. Not so with China. How long can our fighters stay in the air on average? Two Hours time. The tankers would be easy targets for China's S-400 missiles. China can have a large area of denial that US will be having a difficult time to by-pass. The bombers will have a difficult time penetrating China's airspace. Then the sea floor of the China Sea is littered with high tech mines that are dormant at the moment. China will not be a easy foe to beat as many here think.

One line in this advertisement struck a chord with me. That is "I know who I'm fighting for". Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam. Who were we fighting for? GM? Haliburton? The 1%? The Chinese fight for China and a man fighting for his home is a powerful opponent. Our government should keep this in mind. And before anyone asks; yes, I'm a vet. I think America has shed enough blood for corporations. If we must fight, then at least let's fight for ourselves. Lastly, do I think the US could defeat China in armed conflict? Ultimately I think so. However, I hope people aren't so stupid as to think this would happen quickly or without copious quantities of blood.

China is no way up to par, and no match for the U.S. air force . they don't have the budget or training to be competitive against better planes and pilots .

We bash China yet we have no problems buying their goods over American made goods. We make fun of China copying products yet many of us is willing to buy fake products (especially fashion) to save money. China is simply catering to what the American consumers want. At the end, we have ourselves to blame for our greedy pig consumption of worthless garbage that created the trade deficit that is making China a global power and US into a nation of over consuming self centered lazy fat pigs.

China will produce ten fighter jet for the price of one US one. The issue is due to low cost, they will have thousands and thousands of these fighter jet ,may be they already made and kept secretly under ground to use.

Aggressive? They are just staking a claim like all countries have in the past. He with the funds and armies wins, right? Sure it's been a little different lately, but until we end these arbitrary lines and unite as a race this has just been a little break. Russia went for some territory, now China . What happens when they decide together they won't be told what to do by the U.S.A. any more. Putin's rhetoric has been quite clear, China depends on us buying all there #$%$. Complicated world we live in, I don't think Trump really gets it.
