The U.S. is ending a decades long arms embargo on Vietnam, President Obama announced Monday in Hanoi.

美国总体奥巴马周一在河内宣布，美国将结束几十年来对越南的武器禁运。

At a press conference alongside Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, the president said lifting the embargo, which has been in place since 1975, will further normalize relations between the two countries.

"This change will ensure Vietnam has access to the equipment it needs to defend itself and removes a lingering vestige of the Cold War," he said. It is BS that this has nothing to do with China. They don't have to lift an arms embargo to establish good relations with any country unless you plan to give them arms and weapons for some reason, and gee I wonder what that reason could be?
The real btch is that the US taxpayers will foot the bill for the types of armaments that they are planning because Vietnam is a poor country. Then of course we open up free trade with them and they take some of our jobs also. Nice deal once again, give away our jobs, give away our military equipment and that is what we do to get a friend these days. I don't think we need friends this badly, even though Obama has so much to destroy our friendships over the years.

Sometimes I have to wonder if Obama spends days/hours scouring over the entire history of America to choose the most obscure issue and hone in on it in his quest to destroy America before he leaves office. This situation with Vietnam is evidence of that again. He never chooses issues to address that cover a large swath of people who represent the majority. He will definitely leave a legacy when he exits office - one of complete and utter destruction of this country.
