I am a Filipino married to a Japanese citizen. Embraced both the Philippine and Japanese culture. I am now living in Japan but I frequently visit the Philippines to see my relatives. Let me give you the reasons from the perspective of a Japanese citizen. First, let us list all the normal behaviors of a Japanese people in Tokyo. I believe some foreigners have this kind of mental tendencies as well
These are all normal in Japan:

我是菲律宾人，和一个日本人结婚。我拥抱菲律宾和日本文化。我现在居住在日本，但是我经常去菲律宾探亲。我从日本人的角度给你说说原因。首先，我先列举一下在东京的日本人的正常行为有哪些。我相信某些外国人也有这种心理倾向。以下是在日本正常的行为：

1. In Japan, leaving your phone unattended to reserve a table in a food court or cafe is normal.

6. The customer service is world class. As a customer, you can ask for anything reasonable and you will most probably get it. If your request is not possible, then someone will likely refer you to a proper place that can handle your requests.

7. Drivers are educated. Rules on the road are properly followed.

8. You can trust almost anyone. If you lose your wallet, you can just ask a policeman for a help and he will give you money so you can return home safely. Other people are also very happy to help you.

Now, YOU WILL NEVER EVER GET ALL OF THESE IN THE PHILIPPINES. In the Philippines:

6. Businesses only want your money. Once they get it, they will move on to another customer already. DO NOT EXPECT a quality service. You will experience some but they are few.

7. Drivers don’t care. DO NOT DRIVE A CAR even if you are an experienced driver in another country. Filipinos don’t follow the rules so you will most likely end up in a car accident.

7、司机不在乎。在外国即使你是个有经验的司机也不要开车。菲律宾人根本不在乎规则，所以你极有可能发生交通事故。

8. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE especially if it involves money. If someone is asking you for money, always assume that they are deceiving you. Verify everything to proper authorities first. I'm sure not everyone is like this but it is always better to be sure. And just an additional precaution, crimes involving police in the Philippines is also huge so you can’t also trust the police all the time. Please be careful always especially if someone is asking you for something.

8、不要相信任何人，尤其涉及金钱时。如果某人向你要钱，你就应该认为他是在欺诈你。一定要找权威机构确认一下先。不是每个人都喜欢这样，但是这样才有保证。还有就是涉及警察的犯罪在菲律宾也是很普遍的，所以也不能总是相信警察。



On the other hand, if you can withstand the problems above, then PLEASE VISIT ! but until then, please save your money and visit other places where you will feel more secure and more comfortable.

另一方面，如果你能忍受上面这些问题，那么请你一定要去！否则的话，还是去其他更安全更舒服的国家玩吧。
