It’s not that simple. Your questionsuggests that China’s technologies are universally and dramatically superior tothose of the US, and rest assured, that isn’t the case. If you want to put aChinese Chengdu J-20 plane up against an American F-22, that would becomeinstantly obvious; the J-20 wouldn’t last five minutes.And China has exactlyone aircraft carrier, the Liaoning, which is a modification of an old Sovietdesign; several generations behind any of the US’s carriers. HoweverChina is a couple of generations ahead of the US in several areas includinghigh speed trains. They also have the top two fastest supercomputers in theworld.China is also taking education far more seriously than the US as a wholeis. Although there are pockets of excellence in the US including prep schoolslike Exeter and universities such as the Ivies, Stanford and Caltech. Howeverthe US public schools lag far behind Chinese standards as one can see incomparing PISA scores. China ranks in the top ten in math and science, whereasthe US didn’t make even the top 20 in any category.In sum, China is on a muchfaster path in developing technologies. In most areas they’re behind butquickly catching up, and in several areas they’ve already overtaken the US.Americans should be paying more attention as the US risks losing its ability toparticipate in the fast changing world. Already we depend on China and Korea tomanufacture much of our electronics to American specifications; it is likelythat Americans will soon not even understand the methods used.

You have to realize the question isway too vague to get useful answers.Here is the point. I agree some China maythink some of technologies are indeed more advanced in some usage areas. But Ibelieve US in general is still far advanced in much wider rage of technologiesthan current China. Do you see my point?Mr, Xi wants China to advancemany area of techonologies through spending and supporting advanced education.In comparison, Mr. Trump does not understand that point and is doing his bestto reduce the budget for education. In a way, he is helping China to achievetheir goals much faster. If his idea is accepted, then we will be facing to beat the lowest in technological advancement.For now please be more open mindedto accept the fact that China is still far behind in technology in general.

Pretty much any technology that Chinais even close to parity with the Western world on is technology that they havestolen through industrial espionage or coerced through manipulativemanufacturing deals. American refuses to see something that isn’t there.

从技术上来讲，中国在很多方面都已经与西方旗鼓相当，但是这些技术都是通过工业间谍活动所窃取的。当然，中国还强迫国外的一些企业向中国企业转移技术。美国人只是拒绝去承认本来就不存在的东西。
