华为CFO引渡听证会继续？加拿大司法部作出决定！ [美国媒体]

Canada's Department of Justice released astatement today that saying that they would allow the extradition hearing ofHuawei executive Meng Wangzhou to the United States to proceed.

加拿大司法部今天发表声明说，他们将批准继续进行引渡华为董事——孟晚舟到美国的听证会。

Meng, the chief financial officer of theChinese company Huawei, was detained in Canada in December 2018 after theUnited States utilized it's extradition treaty with Canada on charges of bankand wire fraud in the U.S.

孟晚舟是中国公司华为的首席财务官，2018年12月在加拿大遭到拘留，原因是美国利用其与加拿大之间的引渡条约在本国以银行和电信欺诈的罪名控告她。

Meng denies any wrongdoing.

孟晚舟否认自己有任何不法行为。



After the decision was announced, theChinese Embassy in Canada released a statement opposing the decision.

该决定公布后，中国驻加拿大使馆发表了一篇声明，反对此决定。

“The Chinese side is utterly dissatisfiedwith and firmly opposes the issuance of Authority to Proceed by the Departmentof Justice Canada on the case of Meng Wanzhou,” the Embassy said.

中国驻加拿大使馆表示，“中方非常不满并坚决反对加拿大司法部就孟晚舟一案出具《授权书》。”

“This is not a merely judicial case, but apolitical persecution against a Chinese high-tech enterprise. The subsequentdevelopments have proved this. The so-called “rule of law” and “judicialindependence” asserted by Canada can not cover up the mistakes made by theCanadian side on the case of Meng Wanzhou.”

“本案不仅仅是一个司法案件，更是对一家中国高科技企业的迫害。这一系列事态的发展就能说明这一点。加拿大所谓的“法治”和“司法独立”并无法掩盖加拿大方面在孟晚舟一案所犯的诸多错误。“



“Canada's extradition process protects therights of the person sought by ensuring that extradition will not be grantedif, among other things, it is contrary to the Canadian Charter of Rights andFreedoms, including the principles of fundamental justice.”

“加拿大的引渡程序保障公民的追诉权利，但如果违背《加拿大权利与自由宪章》，包括基本的司法原则，引渡请求也不会获批准。”
