WASHINGTON — Several dozen lawmakers led by Representatives Katherine Clark of Massachusetts and John Lewis a longtime civil rights leader disrupted the US House Wednesday by staging a sit-in on the floor of the chamber to demand that the Republican leadership allow votes on gun legislation.

A gun grab is now always has been and always will be a losing issue for the democrats. It's one of the big reasons why they lost the House in 2012 and the Senate in 2014.

I think the GOP's message of guns for everyone everywhere all the time of every make and model in unlimited quantities without restriction or exception of any kind is a political and electoral winner. Pay no attention to those polls that show 80-90% of the American electorate supporting reasonable rational gun reform. It's a bunch of liberal propaganda. Real Americans want guns - lots of 'em.

The bill of rights is not absolute. We have restrictions on free speech so why do we assume our founding fathers meant that the 2nd amendment meant it as an absolute. it is a bogus argument led by the nations leading terrorist organization the IRA who is only interested in passing laws that help gun manufactures sell more weapons.

Sane gun laws are imperative to our nation's progress especially in our hard hit low income sectors where gun deaths are a daily occurrence. I am so proud of these legislators and you should be too. It has been over 30 years since James Brady Reagans right-hand man lost his career and nearly his life and here we are all these years later dealing with mass killing after mass killing. Time to end the chaos and craziness.
