BEIJING (Reuters) - A decision by the United States and South Korea to deploy an advanced anti-missile defense system is aimed at defending against North Korea's issile threat and does not threaten China, a senior U.S. officer said in Beijing on Tuesday.

北京（路透社）——美国一名高级官员周二访问北京时称美韩部署萨德导弹是为了应对朝鲜导弹威胁，不会威胁到北京。

The United States has repeatedly tried to rebuff anger from China about Seoul's move to host a Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) unit with the U.S. military.

美国已经多次拒绝接受北京就美军在韩国部署萨德导弹所产生的愤怒。



Mark A. Milley, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, told his People's Liberation Army counterpart Li Zuocheng that THAAD was a defensive measure, the U.S. Army said in a statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.

China being "provoked" by American missiles is brought on by its guilt feelings in grabbing its neighbors' territories in the South China Sea and American disapproval of what it is doing. And, yes, it is nice that China loses sleep over American military moves that get its armed might within striking distance of China. It just shows you that North Korea's belligerence is completely orchestrated by the CCP to harass SK and Japan. Now the CCP has itself to thank for bringing the THAAD. If the CCP wants SK to withdraw the THAAD then all it has to do is to reign in NK.

Since China has now deemed that the entire South China Sea belongs to them and only them, I highly doubt that they are too concerned about the rights to freedom of navigation.
In fact the opposite is true, China doesn't want anyone entering without thier express permission, despite the fact that the World Court has totally ruled against them. In response, Japan has scrapped its 70 year old constitution of non-aggression, and is re-arming and rebuilding its military, in preparation for a confrontation with China.
