The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon’s glass-bottomed bridge welcomed about 8,000 tourists to view the grand glass bridge. Stretching 430 meters long and 6 meters wide, hovering over a 300-meter-deep valley between two cliffs in the canyon area, the much-awaited “world’s highest and longest” glass-bottomed bridge has already set world records for its architecture and construction.

Some people would freak out taking a single step on this or the Grand Canyon bridge or the glass bottom floor in a Chicago skyscraper.

The glass design is appealing. The Bejing Airport I believe ihas glass as well. Great design. Space is maximized by using the hexagonal pattern.
So many take a leap of faith at the Sears Tower and I am sure this too will happen on this amazing piece of engineering wonder.

Would not like to be responsible for washing the windows from the underside.

I will cross it...if I'm blindfolded AND you have a large caliber weapon at my head...

I think that it is a magnificent piece of architecture.

I visited there in 1991. It was a really pristine place. I doubt if it had anywhere near 8,000 tourists in a year or two, let alone at one time. It's terrible to spoil such a beautiful place in my opinion.

I'll just visit the new Bay Bridge in California.
It's built with Chinese steel.

Notice that a majority of people are not walking on the glass part.

This bridge frightens me, which I think is funny since I live on a ball suspended in space with no strings.

Should be called Green Canyon a cause of that dense green vegetation!

That bridge is going to become a terrific attraction for suicide jumpers and thrill seekers.

I would be very cautious about walking on a glass bridge where you are limited to certain types of footwear, and no cameras allowed.

The demand to get on is high. Only 600 people allowed on it at one time. For a few minutes visit on it, you have to wait 5 hours in line. Ticket is therefore difficult to get to get a splendid view up close.

China is able to do such a thing, where we are not, for the simple reasons that:
-China is not burdened by supporting half their population on welfare. In China, if you don't work, you don't eat.
-If this rather precarious looking bridge were to collapse, in China there is no option to "sue" the architect who designed the bridge, the construction company that built it, or even the Chinese government. In China, "YOU made the decision to walk on the bridge, it's a tragedy that it collapsed. Poop happens. Move on."

I'm sure the half billion+ Chinese that are living in poverty will love it.

Put one in America and, even brand new, some punk would be scribe-ing their initials into the glass or tagging it with a sharpie.
