The SouthChina Sea has become increasingly contested in 2015. Prompted by China’sextensive reclamation program, the complex and multilayered dispute has becomea dominant feature in regional diplomacy and strategic dialogue. The contesthas been keenly watched, not because it is likely to trigger a great-powerconflict, but because of what it tells us about the broader regional dynamicsof Sino-American contestation. Indeed nothing seems to illustrate Asia’s periodof power transition than the brash upstart defying the dominant power bybuilding islands with strategic intent.

Nobodyrecognizes China's claimed sovereignty over the South China Sea. No known lawor legitimate evidence that shows China owns this body of water ever since theworld began. This greed came around the early 60's that is never beenestablished as fact. Thepurpose of the freedom of navigation in the south china sea is that its provingthat the sea is international waters so therefore it cannot be sovereignterritory of China. All china can do is talk big, but is doing nothing at alland if they do they will most likely be removed from the UN security counciland be slapped with sanctions
Look atRussia it has been sanctioned to oblivion and china might face the same fate aswell and as of right now china economy is slowing unable to keep their promiseof a 7% GDP growth and now have been downgraded to 6.5%.
China isonly throwing money and expecting countries to become allies, but that's nothow you make real friends, they just look the other way to china's blatantabuse of their own citizens. China is running out of money the country it isalso so polluted that its now running out of water and the air makes yourboogers black and killing 1.6 million a year, finally china is showing signs ofa great depression on the scale of America back in the 1920s with severalbubbles waiting to burst.
