I'm secretly beginning to like authoritarianism. Here in America our government can't get anything done due to strict rigid partisan lines. If we wanted to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure we'd have to go through a massive bureaucracy go through congress and all these environmental regulation. In China it's like here's the money go Make China Great Again. Opposition? Bad media? Don't worry you'll never see them again.

You like authoritarianism until the government decides that your are a piece of shit good for nothing without connections and decides to take out your house without court rulings paying whatever they feel like it. Or your business now seems not good for the economy or somebody's brother in law is developing a new shopping mall and wants people like you to pay him rent. Or your field now needs a road for no reason except to paying commissions and those need to keep rolling and you are not compensated.
You don't know what you are talking. Not to mention Chinese bureaucracy is epically bad and huge.

It may seem to be more effective in certain aspects than the US gov like controlling the religions (radical Islam) or building infrastructure.
However many things still need to go through many years of planning before it's done in China as well. For example the new subways lines that are under construction in Guangzhou have been in plan for over a decade. It's just the planning phase is not open to the public so it would seem that there is not much bureaucracy to go through. Construction workers do their job much faster in China I assume that's why things get built much faster than in the US.
