I think the most interesting part of Mongol ruling China is that the Mongols who invaded and lived in the ancient China were assimilated. The Mongol emperors gave up their nomad life and settled down. They became part of China and the culture!

This is the stuff western media fails to mention, it shows the few shortcomings of China, the imperfections of a huge country but never mentions the massive successes and phenomenal achievements. Sure no country is perfect but China is fascinating and most people still think China is merely a rice field with its entire population enslaved, in other words, a ''shithole'' media fails to mention the many efforts to tackle the current issues as well, it only shows the small picture leaving out the wider picture. China is amazing and I am proud of this country. I have to witness this with my own eyes soon.

+Earth+ While the country is still what I called a 2nd world country (where you have both first and 3rd world conditions), Hundreds of millions already have gotten out of poverty. That's the main reason why most Chinese people don't buy into the democracy first approach. When your country was once great, but fell into disarray due to foreign invasions, you tend to ignore recommendations from those same countries.
