Why to Never Shave a siberian husky

1.Double coat
Just like insulation in your house a husky's double coat acts as insulation from the cold AND the heat. Without it a number of issues and damaging effects can occur.

Bit harsh. I had dogs my entire life before coming to China and would have shaved them if they had long fur and lived in a hot country. Long fur = cooler isn't exactly what most people would naturally assume.

Huskies are different from normal dogs. They have TWO coats of fur. One long coat that sheds in the spring and one short coat year round. Here's an example（如下图） of a husky in the process of shedding his winter coat.

Some dogs you can shave some can't. If you shaved your dogs before learning if they should be shaved then I don't think calling someone an idiot in this case is harsh.
If you're going to raise a pet you need to be responsible enough to actually learn how to properly take care of it.

I didn't know this. The dogs I've had have always been fine to shave. I wouldn't have bothered checking if huskies can be shaved if I had one just like I wouldn't bother checking if huskies can have their claws clipped eat fish or swim. It's just something that I'd assume is fine especially in this case since in general fur is something we think of as keeping animals warm.

That house insulation analogy is flawed. Insulation within a house works by reducing the ability of heat to transfer between materials. In the summer this means that the hotter exterior of the house does not raise the temperature of the cooler interior. However an animal is not like a house as it produces its own heat.

Removing insulation would be therefore be beneficial in this case as the interior would be hotter than the exterior.

The only thing this ignores is the infrared heat from the sun (which is why middle eastern peoples wear thawbs). No idea if this is enough to counteract the insulation preventing heat from escaping the dog.
