Though the U.S. State Department had issuedno travel alert or warning for Paris as of thismorning, the question on the mind of travelers with booked trips to Paris remains: Should Igo?

The coordinated attacks throughout Paris on Friday that leftnearly 130 people dead have no doubt scared potential visitors away and it willbe some time before the cost to the city is known. But for people alreadyholding airline and hotel reservations, there are options.

United, Air France and Delta have issuedsimilar policies.

Expedia declined to comment onhotel bookings and cancellations in Parisin the wake of the attacks.

Though travel insurance policies varywidely, many do cover acts of terrorism as long as the insurance was purchasedbefore the incident. A spokesperson for Squaremouth, a travel insuranceprovider, however, told ABC News that policies there may be additionalrequirements.

Allianz Travel Insurance customers who arealready in Parisand wish to return early may receive payment for their unused prepaid expensesand may be covered for additional transportation costs to get home early.

Every major city has its dangers. If youchoose to go to London or Romeinstead, maybe there would be problems in Londonor Rome. Itraveled to Londonwhen the IRA was setting off bombs years ago. I rode a train through tunnels innorthern Italywhen there has just been a bombing in one. I have other examples where I justlived my life and, yes, was a bit lucky but you cannot hide from life. Paris is wonderful formost of us and well worth the trip. I loved that city and would go back in asecond. Anyone care to send me?

Aren't France's borders closed? Aren'tsome Americans stuck there? Someone we know canceled their trip to Paris this week and got afull refund from their hotel. They assumed, since the borders are closed, thatthey couldn't get in anyway.
