Albina Foisy, of Lillooet, British Columbia, has become a viral superstar after she was captured playing in the snow

“It was one of those innocent moments that come around fairly often with my mother,” Armand Foisy, 69, told ABC News of the video he took last week. “Basically I just aimed my littleiPhone at her in order to send it to my son. My son lives in Melbourne, Australia. We use Facebook as a simple way of communicating. If you know sons, they are notorious for not writing letters.”

But once Armand uploaded his mother’s adorable reaction to the fresh snowfall, Internet users' hearts collectively melted. The video now has more than 5.5 million views.

“It’s snowing quite a bit,” Albina says in the video.
The mother and son had decided to take a drive since it was a rainy day, but then it began to snow, a rare occurrence in their quaint inland town.
“It started snowing more and more and I stopped for just a moment to make sure there’s no traffic coming in the other direction,” Armand recalled. “Mum undoes her seatbelt and steps out.”
The next thing he knows, she’s frolicking in the snowflakes and beginning to roll up a snowball.
“Oh my, oh my, oh my,” Albina excitedly says in the video while she’s packing up her perfect snowball.

“She always uses the same phrase, ‘Oh my, oh my,’ when she is extremely excited about something,” Armand explained. “It’s such a warm feeling to get.”

“We laugh a lot, it’s a family thing,” said Armand. “She’s extremely bright. There’s no sign at all of mental degeneration. Physical yes, but this moment for us is not unique. There are more of those and there have been, but this has resonated with everyone.”
When asked why Armand thinks it has resonated so well with others, his answer was simple.
“It is sheer delight, and she can express it genuinely. People around her feel that,” he said. “It’s awe-inspiring. It’s really quite unique. She’s a universal grandma.”

Armand, you are a lucky man to have your mom in that kind of shape when you are 69 and she is 101. Sure, people live longer than that, but the sight of an elderly lady like that bending over in the snow and throwing a snowball is really amazing. My mom is 85 and can barely move from her bed to the wheel chair. I dreamed the other night that my mom could still walk around int the yard and tend her garden, but that will never happen. Thanks for sharing this sir, it is very cool.

Loved this video ..she is AMAZING . This is what it should be like growing older ...ENJOYING the simple pleasures of the Seasons ...like a Snowfall. I Loved her "Oh My Oh My " ...reminded me of my own Grandma who passed on many years ago. I have worked in Home Health Care and have had far too many Clients who are living longer ,well into their 90's, but with Diagnosis of Alzheimers ...What a Blessing that she is mentally lucid and sound and can enjoy so much ..and at 101. May God Bless Her and her family . I wish her many more Snowfalls and Winters to come and may she experience all of them with the same ...JOY .

Sometimes the little things in life don't cost a thing. They put a smile on your face and leave you with life long memories.
Raising a baby by myself I never had a lot of money so I'd take my daughter to the pet store to play with the animals, even though we had a dog & the hospital to look at all the newborn babies. She's married now with children of her own & I apologized to her once for never having enough money so she could have had a better life. Awwww, she's so cute!! Unfortunately, breast cancer took my mom before her 41st birthday, so you're extremely lucky to have your mom still alive at such an age. May she live to throw many more snowballs :-)
