ANYONE captured by ISIS is going to be horribly brutalized and killed.
As far as I know, only three US service members have been captured by enemy forces post 2003. Two soldiers who were manning a roadblock in Iraq, who were subsequently killed, and Bowe Bergdahl, who abandoned his post and was picked up by the Taliban, and who was eventually returned to the US.

Among the reasons for this extremely low rate is the well known fact that being captured by these enemies WILL see you having your head slowly cut off with a rusty knife on liveleak. If you are lucky. So everyone fights to the death.

Now, I think that there is a vastly increased chance of sexual assault and rape in most conflict situations for female POW’s. Some people disagree with me, and I think those people are caught it a web of political-correctness turned lies. But that’s a very different question.

Run the risk? Are you kidding. It is a certainty. History shows it. Every female soldier captured in the wars with Iraq was raped. Even the female helo pilot who suffered two broken arms and a leg.
Israel found that the Arabs fighting against the one female combat unit that they fielded fought more savagely that the others because the idea that they were fighting a unit comprise of Jewesses drove them into a rage since it was considered an insult to their manhood. So based on what you know of the average Jihadi's attitude toward women would have resulted if any of those Jewesses had fallen into their hands。

I personally think that the US putting women into combat units is going to increase the savagery of combat on a global scale, if not against our enemies, then against our own military. Why? Because once, we as a country thought it was our duty as men to protect women. We even protected the women of our enemies. Even women in Serbia and Kosovo were spared death if not rape, when their husbands and sons were shot out of hand. Why? because even their enemy did not see the women as future combatants, only the males.
So if we send our women in harms way, our enemies are now given a reason to see any American woman as a legitimate target because she is a potential soldier that they might have to face at a later time.
Even the US did the same thing. The Battle of the Bismarck Sea where US planes sunk 8 troop transports and 4 destroyers. Our planes circled back around and machine gunned the surviving troops in the water and the sharks got many of the survivors. The pilots knew that if the troops reached shore on New Guinea, they would have to fight them again, so the killed them helpless in the water. That is what war does.

Your question is irrelevant. Why…?
Because, any US soldiers captured by ISIS will be brutalized, regardless of gender.
Actually lemme clarify that: Any soldier captured by ISIS will be brutalized, regardless of nationality or gender.

Actually lemme clarify that even more: anyone captured by ISIS will be brutalized, regardless of vocation, nationality, or gender.
So the moral of the story is; regardless of who you, don't get captured by ISIS, they will brutalized you.
It's irrelevant whether the soldier is American or man or woman.

Like bullets, the enemy too will not differentiate between men and women.
More important fact is that the Geneva Convention was not signed by any terrorist group, be it ISIS or some other outfit.
I am totally shamed to provide such details of abuse and brutalising of female PWs in these columns as they are gruesome.
However if someone wants the real happenings as reported in New York Times here is the site…

Well ISIS isn't “gentle” with any of their prisoners.
Granted, they probably do not rape any of their male prisoners, but the male prisoners are absolutely subjected to senseless torture, brutalization, and even mass executions.

So yes, if female soldiers were to be captured by ISIS, they would probably have to endure torture akin to their male counterparts… although possibly different in nature (yes they would likely be at risk of getting raped).

Yes.
And not only ISIS.
War brings out both the best and worst in people - of all nations. In all nations there will always be the people who will happily perform the concentration camp guards; happily perform torture (to even the most awe-full degree). I need only cite the guards at Abu Ghraib … both men and women involved in uncivilised behaviour - but from the US Army - which included sexual humiliation ……………

Add to this the stress of battle and the need to dominate an enemy’s populace by any means. Rape is just one of those means - as well as relieving the emotional stress of the soldier.
It was one of the main “fears” that restrained the use of females in front line troops.

Only with much longer term experience will we be able to judge whether it is really true. I suspect that just as women have had sexual harassment in their own armies/navies/air forces, when the stresses of war are added then it may well become much worse - even against a “civilised” foe.

War cannot be gentle to anybody. Women troops will have to face the same challenges that men face and something extra. Because every woman has that weakness. There is a 70 percent chance of them being sexually abused, if caught by a brutal terrorist organisation like ISIS.

When captured by a brutal, debased, and unlawful enemy like Daesh, all soldiers male or female are likely to be brutalised.
People do not like to discuss it, but rape has been a common way of degrading captured enemies throughout history. Especially in societies where women are regarded as inferior: by using your enemy for sex, you deprive him of his status as a man and a warrior and reduce him to a “mere” woman.

They frequently cut people's heads off while they live. I don't mean with an axe or a guillotine either. I mean with a large knife. It takes a while since they have to saw and chop to get through the spine, but the victim is alive for the vast majority of it. I've seen it.
My point is, most Soldiers, male or female keep an extra round or grenade on hand to ensure that they aren't alive to be captured because if you are, rape is the least of your problems.

Simple to answer really.. what did ISIS do to Yazidi (Zoroastrian), Christian, Shiite Muslim and Kurdish women it captured?
You’re dealing with an iron age interpretation of a religion founded by a group of warlords who already had a reputation in a brutal world of being particularly cruel (Roman and Persian views on the Bedouin of their day were very negative, which says a lot when they themselves had some horrific rituals and practices). It’s not going to be pretty, and neither were some interpretations of Christianity 500+ years ago (albeit at this time, Christianity was living under the shadow of Islamic swords and constant fear of invasion and enslavement, etc). either way, ISIS is based upon the Bedouin culture of 1000 years ago.

Absolutely. Because of the cultural separation of the sexes in traditional Muslim societies, their males are utterly obsessed with sex. If any non-Muslim female falls into their hands, they can expect only the most sexually degrading and repulsive treatment. The fact that Mohammed specifically approves of rape in such circumstances is yet another reason that Islam is a political document first and only latterly a religious book.

ISIS is a 100% Saudi Wahhabi creature and treats women more brutally than Mo set out as acceptable. Any captured ISIS ‘fighters’ should be executed out of hand: they are beyond redemption.ISIS

Under war conditions ANYTHING can happen to ANYONE, male or female. However in case of ISIS this is particularly true. A group of brutes who enjoy putting people in a cage and drawn them in a swimming pool and then broadcast this on the internet is capable of doing ANYTING, I do not think the gender matters at all.

Here is the thing: Men and Women are equal. Not just on paper, but in life as well.
Women can be abused. Men can be abused. While it is true that men are generally less vulnerable and larger built than women, this is not universal nor does it dictate anything once true talent comes into play.
Isis doesn't exactly have standards, if youve seen literally any of it’s collective actions in the region. All you need to assault a prisoner is a stick. Women, of course, are in danger of being sexually assaulted, but so are men. If you were to for some reason or another be captured by isis, i would firmly recommend fighting to the death or killing yourself.

Rape is always wrong no matter where it happens.
Here is some reality that people don’t talk about:
ISIS is not gentle with men either. Look at all the beheadings and throat cuttings of thousands of men live on screen that they do. This is what men have to endure. They get tortured and go through a lot too. In fact far worse than the women have to endure.

If female soldiers don’t want to get captured by ISIS then they shouldn’t put themselves in that war zone if they don’t want to get violated sexually. A man will take the womans place. He won’t get raped sexually, but he will get far worse -severely tortured, starved, a limb or two chopped off and/or his throat slit or head cut off instead.
Women being brutalized? Well, its not nearly as common as when it happens to men out there.

The moment a person, no matter their gender, enters the battlefield they are supposed to be and must be equals straight across the board. No special treatment. They must take a bullet, get maimed and die all the same. If women on the battlefield get special attention from the men, then the women are a liability and can get people killed.

Women (next to medics and officers) are also at risk of being targeted because the enemy will intentionally shoot the female soldier to lure the men out of hiding to her rescue. It is then that the enemy will shoot the men. If it were a man, it’s not the same. Men are less inclined to do so, right away or never, depending on the situation.

This war strategy was a serious issue during, for instance, the Iran-Iraq war when women in great numbers were used in battle compared to today.

Women should not and cannot have no more rights on the battlefield than men. They are soldiers and nothing else. If they can’t deal with that fact then they don’t have any business being there in the first place.

This worry is totally justified. Homosexual rape would be unheard of or at least very rare in ISIS, but sexual exploitation of females for personal gratification is in their recruiting materials!

For this reason, a woman who might be deployed to such a place should be informed of exactly what she could be facing, and either trained to handle it, or consider another means of service.
But really, in this day and age, are you going to tell “Sally” she can’t enlist?

Let me just say, that if my sister had heard that a female soldier had been sexually abused after being captured by the other side, these people would be better off meeting Satan than her.
