Long term population problems I mean.
Extremely high mortality rate combined with a 1.1 TFR was a pretty terrible mix.

You can see they recovered pretty fast from WWII (population recovery was around 1955 IIRC so ~10 years). They still haven't reached the 1992 peak of 148 million and it's been 26 years.

In Serbia in 2017 Belgrade had the lowest number of murders in the last 30 years. "Only" 76 compared to 215 in 2001.

The population of belgrade is about 1.5 million inhabitants so 76 murders per year means there is a murder year of about 5 per 100k per year which isn't alarmingly high (it's USA's average) but it's much above Serbian average.

There is dramatic high alcohol consumption rate so most of murders are committed under intoxications. Some areas in Siberia are completely different from ones in European part of Russia. May be it caused by severe weather high prices and high unemployment. The sun is a rare guest there as well.
