Only Black Guy in Suburban White School Starterpack:

Every sports coach expects him to be their star player.

"Hey what do you think about [issue slightly related to race]?"

"You're not like most black guys."

"Can you give me a pass to say the n word?"

"Can I touch your hair?"

"I bet he only likes black girls."

Gets on school council so everyone starts calling him the school's version of Obama.

"Can you rap?"

Anytime someone makes a joke that involves race.

"He's actually really nice"

Yeah white folks smell the worst when you're sweaty.
Maybe due to more sweat glands or hairier

Actually read something once where people generalized the smell of each ethnicity and for white people it was like cheese or dairy. Am white person can confirm the base smell is nast.

Everyone thinks you're cool but has "nothing to do with your race"

Black guy at South Dakota State University here. Can confirm. Throw in “What sport got you here?” “My best friend in 6th grade was black he’s like one of the coolest dudes I know.” “Bro that girl loves black guys she’d sleep with you easily.” “Has anyone ever told you that you look like [insert black celebrity]?” and often getting you mixed up with the only other black guy on campus that you don’t even resemble.

"I would have voted for Obama for a third term" - School parents

How about when he starts dating one of the white girls and when he finally meets her parents she nervously coaches him on how to act and what to say and he knows exactly why.

plot of Get Out

Like a part of me understands that as a human you're curious about people who are different from you and in most cases it comes from a good and honest place but at the same time I'm not a goddamn animal at a petting zoo for your entertainment. That also conlifcts that I really really enjoy getting my hair and scalped played with.

As a half breed I got this constantly. "Why do you talk like you are white" tf does that even mean?

PolarisC8 24 points·1 hour ago
Mixed race people get it the worst. My uncle is Metis so the government's fucked him his whole life. My best friend is half Filipino so he's never felt like he fit in with the Filipino or the White kids. It's like they get none of the good parts and all the bad parts.

I hate that. We’re people not animals this isn’t a petting zoo

This is also true for guys with long hair but I always got “Can I braid your hair!?” I used to let girls do it all the time felt great.

As a white former teacher I always felt like a jackass when I had to delve into slavery/racism based texts in class. It’s important and I would even think of skipping any of it because history repeats itself and my students all need to learn. But you could just see the “Oh God no” looks wash over the faces of the few black people in my class when we had to have the “N word” discussion before getting into Huck Finn.
