The US has only a few reasonable demands:
China must cease developing technologically and promise to never be anything more than a place for US corporations to offload their excess production. The US can dump hundreds of billions in subsidies via the military and steal trade secrets even from allies, but Made in China 2025 is "against international norms."

Clearly, it's just not fair for Chinese laws to regulate what can be broadcast en masse to the Chinese public. China's entertainment market must be "opened" so the Chinese film industry can be destroyed like Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea's.

The US should be able to redraw the constitutional territorial claims of China (including the ROC) as it pleases. It doesn't matter that Scarborough Shoal and the Spratly Islands weren't included in the constitution of the Philippines written by Spain and the United States... we changed our minds! China had been watching Vietnam quietly build on islands in the SCS, and peacefully disregarding the Philippine's revisionism (1978 Kalayaan Act) without anything but a minimal diplomatic reaction. Then it became obvious that China's overtures for peace (no overseas bases or entanglements, foreign influence campaigns stopped under Deng, very low military spending under Deng) were taken as weakness by everyone.

As the US is accustomed to adopt unilateral measurements towards its allies, it is very likely that it is planning to leave the Allies. As your president is declaring trade wars all over the world, it is surely going to be difficult for the US to become allies with any other countries in the world soon.
