BEIJING(Reuters) - China should prepare itself for military confrontation in the SouthChina Sea, an influential Chinese paper said on Tuesday, a week ahead of adecision by an international court on a dispute there between China and thePhilippines.

北京（路透社）——中国应该为南海军事对抗做好准备，一份富有影响力的中国报纸周二如是说，而一周后国际法庭将对中菲之间的南海争议进行裁决。

Tensions havebeen rising ahead of a July 12 ruling by an arbitration court hearing theargument between China and the Philippines over the South China Sea in theDutch city of The Hague.

I agree with theCommie paper's point that the situation will likely evolve into a militaryconflict at some point.
