A little too optimistic there. The Ming collapsed because of internal decline that had started over a century prior to the events surrounding Li Zicheng and the general uprising of the farming-class nóngmín.
The Manchu presence to the North of China simply took advantage of the collapse of central Chinese government and established the Qing dynasty in the power vacuum. If the Manchu invasion never occurred, Ming would still have been toppled by civil war, perhaps taking a little longer due to less external pressure. If not Li Zicheng, somebody among the peasant insurrection would have toppled the government, but regardless they would have been similar to Li Zicheng. They would be rebels who conquered, and no more; not able to pacify, rule, and instate government reforms. Without those things, the collapse of the Ming could have lead to another period of zhànguó shídài, or warring-states, with elements of Ming-loyalists surviving after the loss of central government and many provinces falling under control of local warlords.
If anything the loss of centralized power in China may have been disastrous for the region as a whole. Unified Japan, notified of the complete collapse of central bureaucracy in China, would again aim for dominion over Korea and possibly Chinese territories on the coast. Sino-Japanese history would be completely rewritten, not to mention countless other historical incidents that would be altered or cease to exist.
Perhaps it was for the best that history played out as it did and China modernized at the pace it did, when it did.?

This is one of the best historical films I've ever watched. The audience can feel the tragic inevitability of the fall of an empire. The Ming Dynasty had horrible luck. In its final few decades, northern China was first hit with flood, then persistent draught, and then a mini ice age. All of which collapsed the economy in northern China and decimated the tax base. Southern China was wealthy, but the lands and industries were controlled by retired court ministers and wealthy merchants under their patronage, so hardly anything was taxed. The Government was starved of funds and supplies, armies of rebels roamed freely across northern and western China, and the Manchus were invading from the north. This disastrous situation was exacerbated by an impatient emperor lacking any real experience in administration and surrounded by ministers who were busy playing party politics. What can a few good men do at this point.?

The last professional Ming force changed sides to the Manchus at Shanhai Pass. The various factions of the short-lived Southern Ming were so busy fighting each other that they essentially destroyed themselves. The resulting political turmoil in the South also resulted in hundreds of thousands of Chinese troops to defect to the Manchus, helping the Manchus to overcome their numeric disadvantage.?

It is a great offense to lie to the Lord Field Marshall who was entrusted by the Emperor, the grain manager filled half of the granary with dirt instead of grains needed by the army.
