Forty-five years ago last February U.S. President Richard Nixon returned from a visit to China that shocked the world and unsettled leaders in Moscow who were awaiting a visit from Nixon a few months later.

If you were to chose an ally between China and Russia I would prefer China over Russia because Chinese are smart and they understand what moving forward means for their nation and their country the Russian remain in the passed and they are corrupt the Russian leaders don't really care about the lively hood of the Russian people they are stealing from the Russian people with rage they are so corrupt not too many people across the globe trust them.

Don't fool yourself there is corruption too in China but we do have a better relationship with China for obvious reasons. Mainly economic and they are more of a ally than Russia but that can change with the disputed islands in question. Either way a war with Russia or China is not good for everyone. I have family members in the military and my grandfather served in WW II. Let's hope cooler heads prevail and there is no mega conflict.

Interesting article but to believe the US can ever have Russia or China as a true ally is just a pipe-dream. And Russia and China will never be true allies to each other. Neither of the those countries have ever had any real allies and are such authoritarian regimes that distrust and suspicion are the are how they operate. Especially since there is no rule of law within themselves how can trust and fairness be established with any other nation?

America has NATO allies in Europe and NATO like allies in Asia including Japan Korea Taiwan Philippines Israel and Australia. And Russia China Iran Syria and North Korea are allies.
