SYDNEY (Reuters) - A senior U.S. soldier said on Thursday Australia must choose between a stronger U.S. alliance or closer ties with China and urged Canberra to take a tougher stance against Chinese claims in the South China Sea.

I would like to go to Mr. Hanson's house to count how many things does he own that have that little "Made in China" tag on the bottom... Don't ask others to do what you would not do. USA is by far the biggest economic trader with China you discord-propagandist idiot. We traded $ 521 BILLION with China in 2013 compared to the $136 that Australia did. We were #1 Australia was #6 and there were other countries that traded more than the Aussies. Even #2 Japan was still 200 Billion behind the USA. No wonder the government was quick to clarify that they don't want to be related to this moron. It would be the most hypocrite thing to do by the USA to ask for something like that.

The US has pulled Australia into every war its been involved with since WW2 and if it comes to war with China Australia will be there as well. i think this colonel Hanson is forgetting what a reliable Ally Australia has been over the years. Korea vietnam Afganistan Iraq Somalia None of these wars were Australian wars. Australia did not get Bombed on 911. yet in every one of these conflicts Aussies stood fought and died beside US troops and to now hear this is nothing but an insult!
