China is set to allow the release of more Hollywood films as part of a trade pact with the United States.

The South China Morning Post reports that a higher number of movies from the US will be permitted to be shown on the mainland as a sign from Beijing that it is taking steps to cut its trade surplus with the US. China is also expected to increase its imports of American soy pork and beef as part of the agreement government researcher Mei Xinyu told the newspaper.

These are minor concessions that are made for two reasons: first to open up other market segments to Chinese exports; and second to make it appear to the US bourgeois press corps and its readers as though Tiberius has engaged in successful trade negotiations.

I thought it was because Jackie Chan pushed for it? Either way i haven't seen a good movie since 2012. I don't watch movies anymore i have lost faith. I occasionally watch old movies meaning movies from the 90s to about 2012. New movies lack any story the acting is terrible and the scenes are bad.

. Me dad and I get our meat from a local butcher so we know the meat is pure. That meat sold here in American grocery stores is not fit for human consumption. Take pork chops for instance. It says right on the packages of pork chops that they have been injected with "flavor enhancers." I've eaten pork chops from rhe grocery store and it tasted like chemical laden horseshit. The pork chops we get from this butcher are a world away in taste. The meat from this butcher is clean. I don't know what we will do if that butcher ever closes shop. I guess I'll have to stop eating meat. I stopped eating chicken about a year and a half ago. I got tired of getting sick and having the shits every time I ate chicken. They are doing something to the food. Beware Great Britain.

Not sure how we got from US films going to China to US beef going to UK. But agree with comments on American food. Got off a long flight once in Houston hungry and thirsty. I quickly found a sandwich stand with an enticing display of sandwiches and orange juice dispenser. I sat down to my snack filled with anticipation. The bread was like carboard the meat some kind of congealed matter and the OJ some chemical concoction unrelated in any way to any orange. Bleh.

The article mentioned that more American pork and beef going to China which made me think of future trade deals with Great Britain and the United states. That is how I drew the distinction. From reading the comments here over the past 3 months I have learned that two of rhe things that Britains fear the most is privatization of rhe NHS by American businesses and imported meat from them to.

Some time ago the World Health Organization rated processed lunch meat in the states as a carcinogen. The food here is atrocious including fruit and vegetables. I'm from back in the day when they had "real" food and my body just won't accept this "new" food. I supposed this chemical laden stuff does not affect the younger people because they were raised on it since birth. I truely believe that the human body in younger people has adapted to this "new" food which is why they don't get sick from it. There is so much food here that I can't eat anymore because it makes me sick. I believe that is because my older "back in the day" body can't adapt to it. Does that make sense to you?

Sounds like China took him for a ride. They had already agreed to bump the films from 35 to 46. But they will keep the cap on ticket sales with 80% going to China distributors and 20% going to the US distributors. The little guy production companies are still unable to distribute in China. Only the big 5 studios are allowed in to the market.

So Trump's great "deal" so far benefits the Hollywood media elite that hate him so much that and are based primarily in New York and Los Angeles and who's productions are often made abroad.
